To My Fellow Rising STAR....Mike Baker the Bike Maker

So I know I haven't written in awhile...mainly cuz I've been super busy with the two week run of my solo show, "Identification Please", at The Thick House in SF. But I wanted to take the time to express the joy and appreciation I have for one of my fellow rising stars: Mike Baker the Bike Maker and the rest of the cats from The Honor Roll.

This past weekend while I was performing, Mike was doing his thing in LA. And it reminded me of one of Dave C's stories...how when he was doing his thing 10 years ago, he'd be recording his Comedy CD the same place all his musically inclined friends were recording theirs. This was at a time before they all blew up into the big names they are now...names like: Mos Def, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common, etc.

So with great honor and pride...i can say "Oh yea, me and Mike Baker go waaay back...Asian American Studies class at SFSU!"

Embracing 2009!

So it's a New Year with a NEW Relationship, Home, President & a NEW plethora of artistic endeavors! Yes, it's only February but I'm already piling the food on the plate. Let's start with...

1) Stand-up: I'm booking gigs left & right. Opening for some awesome comics like Joey Guila. Check my next stand-up gigs on my comedy myspace page: www.myspace.com/spiderpig07707

2)My One Woman Show: "Identification, Please" is still under construction as I take another round of Kamau Bell's Solo Performance class. And will be writing it to a full length show. 3) Improv/Sketch Comedy: Was just asked/invited to join both the AATC's (Asian American Theater Company) Sketch Comedy Troupe and the Improv Troupe, Hobofish. Apparently I have to choose one or the other. So although I'm juiced about BOTH opportunities & what this will mean for my comedy...i'm still deciding.

4) Film Acting: Was just cast in another web-series. This one is more of the dramatic genre. And will hopefully be cast in another indie feature this summer/fall...Here's manifesting!

5) VLOGS: Found a new love for editing through my YouTube channel and documenting my journey as an artist/event planner/soul in human form. Check out my latest creation:
